Eirmersive Showcases Ireland’s Leading Immersive Innovators at SXSW, Presenting to Taoiseach Micheál Martin

Eirmersive, the voice of Ireland’s immersive sector, proudly showcased top immersive content creators and technology innovators at Ireland House at SXSW 2025, with a special presentation to Taoiseach Micheál Martin. Led by Eirmersive CEO Camille Donegan, the event underscored Ireland’s leadership in immersive storytelling, technology, and innovation.

As a strategic initiative funded by Creative Ireland, Eirmersive supports the Digital Creative Industries Roadmap 2024-2026, fostering growth and international opportunities for Irish immersive companies. The showcase featured several pioneering member companies demonstrating world-class work across marketing, entertainment, education, tourism, healthcare and beyond, captivating SXSW attendees with groundbreaking projects.

The showcase took place on the Opening Night of Ireland House, Sunday, March 9, 2025, under the theme ‘Where Innovation + Imagination Collide.’ Over 200 attendees, including members of the Irish-American business community and creative professionals from around the world, gathered to celebrate Irish creativity and its influence in immersive storytelling, screen industries, and extended realities.

Featured Presentations

  • Glasseye – Janet Beck showcased large-scale immersive projects, including The Summer Palace for the UK’s No. 1 attraction, Outernet London, highlighting Glasseye’s expertise in immersive marketing and entertainment.
  • Volograms – Rafael Pagés presented AI-powered volumetric holograms used across industries from fashion to tourism, along with Vologram Messages, their WebAR platform for immersive communication, education, marketing, and telepresence.
  • Imvizar – Michael Guerin introduced Lureo, a no-code platform for location-based spatial storytelling. With over 100 experiences launched in 11 countries, Imvizar is redefining immersive narratives. He also demonstrated Monto AR – An Immersive Journey Through Dublin’s Hidden Past.
  • Adaptas – Dr. Celine Mullins presented cutting-edge immersive video and VR projects designed to enhance soft skills and mental resilience. Attendees got an exclusive sneak peek at The Courage Box, their latest work-in-progress.
  • The Performance Corporation – Jo Mangan explored the intersection of arts and technology, presenting a diverse portfolio of XR storytelling and theatre experiments, including XR operas and remote VR theatre.

Eirmersive also showcased two groundbreaking Virtual Reality projects funded by Screen Ireland and Animation Ireland’s Next Generation Immersive Innovation fund:

  • Dawn of The Wing-Ed Freaks! – An animated 360-degree series from AdventurVerse Studios, immersing audiences in an interactive storytelling experience.
  • Her Mind’s Eye – An immersive full-dome experience from Algorithm, transporting viewers into the visionary mind of 12th-century polymath, composer, and scientist Hildegard of Bingen.

On Monday, March 10, at a closed event at Ireland House, the Eirmersive delegation met with Taoiseach Micheál Martin. Michael Guerin of Imvizar showcased the Monto Augmented Reality experience to Micheál, which brings to life the history of Dublin’s Monto district, once the largest red-light district in Europe.

Eirmersive CEO Camille Donegan discussed the significance of bringing an Irish immersive delegation to SXSW to foster and expand US-Irish business connections and partnerships. She also highlighted the growing interest among US immersive and 3D studios in establishing bases in Ireland, supported by the country’s thriving and dynamic ecosystem.
