Back with a bang for its second outing, Cruinniú na nÓg is set to bring even more creative fun and flair to the country’s youth on 15 June 2019!
A highly engaging initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme in partnership with your Local Authority and RTÉ, Cruinniú na nÓg is all about celebrating and encouraging children and young people’s participation in culture and creativity. Completely free and taking place nationwide, young minds are treated to a compelling spread of performances, coding, theatre, art and music workshops, readings and screenings, special events and much more on this special day. All child-centred and incredibly diverse, the day’s events are activity-based, with the emphasis on getting young people doing, making and creating.
With 2018’s inaugural Cruinniú na nÓg such a super success – it saw thousands of children and young people of all ages enjoy some 500+ events and activities – Local Authorities all over the country are already getting their plans underway for June. Wondering how you can get involved in your locality? Many Local Authorities are currently seeking creative practitioners’ participation, check out your Local Authority’s website or social media pages for more.

Just one way we’re making good on our promise to enable the creativity of every child and young person in Ireland, Cruinniú na nÓg is an irresistible opportunity for our energetic, passionate and enthusiastic youth to discover new cultural and creative activities, meet like-minded friends and share their ideas.
