Woodstown Viking Site Interpretation Panel
Interpretation panel highlighting the significance of the Woodstown Viking Site inspired by runic script and the famous Viking runestones (also known as picture stones) from Gotland, Greenland and Sweden.
The Vikings used rune stones to mark the burial places of important people, and occasionally to impart stories, laws or genealogies. The interpretation panel presented in lavastone explains the Viking heritage of Woodstown which predated Waterford City.
