Walking with Ghosts is an artistic response to folklore, myth and superstition embedded in the community. It engages with and celebrates these traditions in the context of an expanded audience.

Walking with Ghosts collects superstitions and stories from Westmeath inhabitants from a variety of communities including age ranges, cultural and religious traditions, ability levels, and urban and rural locations.

Local artist Ann Wingfield will work with community groups to collect, organise, catalogue and share Westmeath folk stories. 

They will work to create an artistic interpretation of the stories through different art mediums, which will be displayed at a public exhibition.
