To research, develop and create an immersive visual and audio experience surrounding the theme of “wake house” and “wakes” and the significance it plays with young people in Irish culture. Using an experimental documentary approach it will explore the relationship of wakes between young people and the traditions that binds it in Irish society. The piece will look to sensitively adapt these stories which are raw, insightful, heartbreaking, uplifting .
