Turas Úr are a collective of Donegal Gaeltacht visual artists, who make sculptural responses to their environment. On Culture Night, they will present ‘Art at The Museum with Turas Úr’, a unique and immersive event celebrating the fusion of sculptures, installations, soundscapes, sound installations and spoken word.  Turas Úr consist of Leanne McLaughlin, Ed Devane, Cathal McGinley, Mickey McFadden and Laura Nic Dhuibhir. This year the collective will be joined by internationally renowned artists Emily Waszak and Kim Sharkey, both of whom now live and work in the Donegal Gaeltacht. The exhibition will also feature a collaboration between Turas Úr artist Leanne McLaughlin and poet Polina Cosgrave. The artists’ work is inspired by the sound and rhythmic movement of honeybees and was created originally for the Irish Museum of Modern Art. 

‘Art at the Museum with Turas Úr’ can be seen at the Workhouse Garden, next to Donegal County Museum, Letterkenny on Culture Night, Friday, September 20th.
