High Street/Belmont Ladies Community Group working with artist, Rosemarie Langtry will walk and experience the canal taking in its journey, built structures, flora and fauna and surroundings along the way.

There will be 3 walks;

1. May 9th - Shannon harbour to Clonony (already taken place)

2. June 12th - Clonony to Belmont

3. August 28th - Ferbane to Aqueduct

During the walks, the group will gather and research each location through photographs and old stories from the members about the locations. Over a number of weeks, the group will plan and design a mosaic piece which will be hung in the reception area of High Street Community Hall for all to see especially for those not able to go on the walks but can experience the journey through the mosaic. We hope to launch the finished piece on 24th October. To accompany the mosaic, a booklet will be produced which will contain the research and stories published.
