This is not a joke Podcast will Engage Local Communities and Use humour to address regional issues, celebrate local culture, and connect diverse audiences.
We will be Supporting Local Creatives through Providing a platform for comedians, writers, musicians, and artists from the northwest to showcase their work to a wider audience.
Our aim is to Enhance Regional Identity Position the northwest as a hub for creativity and progressive dialogue, reinforcing its cultural significance within Ireland.
We will be Promoting Queer Visibility by Highlighting the experiences, perspectives and talents of LGBTQ+ individuals in the northwest, disscuss encountering isolation and still creating a sense of belonging.
Each episode will be approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour in length, released weekly. Content will include:
Featured Guest Segments will include Interviews with LGBTQ+ comedians, creatives, and activists discussing their work and experiences.
Community Spotlights will high light Stories and performances by local comics and creatives, highlighting regional voices. Themed Discussions such Topics such as identity, belonging, mental health, rural life, and love—explored with wit and relatability.
Some episodes will be recorded in front of a live audience at community venues in the northwest, combining stand-up comedy and audience interaction.
