The main aim of the residency is to allow a theatre artist (Richard Walsh) work in the community. Part of this involves working with Youth Theatre groups, to create new plays based on local history.

The deliverables/objectives of the project are:

Research and workshops on local history for young people

4 writing classes for young people.

Feedback and notes to develop their texts.

Opportunity to perform or read their texts.

Develop a group play, to be performed by local young people.
