THE YURT (temporary performance space)

Showcasing the best local and national talent through spoken word, lectures, and comedy

As part of Carlow Arts Festival, THE YURT – a brand new temporary venue for 2024 – will present the poets, comedians, thinkers, and performers of Carlow in an intimate “fringe” style venue with an approximate capacity of 40-50.

The YURT will present 12 shows, presented by local groups who are actively working with Carlow Arts Festival including:

• AHA Storytellers
• Carlow Traveller Forum
• Barry Fitzgerald
• Prince Charming (comedy show about Carlow in the 80’s/90’s)
• A Q&A with actor Shane Byrne
• A comedy showcase of local talent – programmed and hosted by Shannon Basso Gaule
