The North East Musical and Dramatic Society’s (NEMS) production of ‘The Wedding Singer’ is hitting the stage for 5 nights this November!  

Hilarious musical comedy ‘The Wedding Singer’ takes us back to 1980s New Jersey, to a time when hair was big, greed was good and collars were up. Wedding Singer, and wannabe rock star, Robbie’s world is turned upside down when he is jilted at the altar. Based on the hit Adam Sandler movie, ‘The Wedding Singer’ is a lively and fun-packed trip back to the 80s featuring songs that will have you dancing in your seats.

NEMS provides an opportunity for adults of all ages and backgrounds to become involved in and experience the arts through musical theatre, relighting their creative and artistic talents. They learn new skills, refining their dance, singing and acting ability. They have an opportunity to work with other creative artists, learning more about the role of music, light, set within the musical production. Some members prefer roles behind the scenes, helping with costumes, sets and fundraising among other roles. This project will showcase the strength and talent of the community in County Monaghan.
