The Passion of Living
Art works are to be created by students and residents of Camphill the Bridge Community, Kilcullen, Co. Kildare (with an invitation to other Camphill communities and KARE) working with schools and community groups. They are to be facilitated by Catherine Palmieri-Seddiq and supported by Sarah Gillespie.
For this project Catherine will be using different materials that she has recycled to develop an experience working with all the community and group from the Public. Her Idea is to interact with Camphill Community, Co. Kildare to experience Wellbeing, sense of place and climate change.
Work is to be created in situe in Camphill, with groups invited to join in these purpose-built art spaces, near the entrance of the community.
The sculptures are to be designed by the residents and day students in Camphill, with a focus on movement. This challenges preconceptions of ability to engage creatively and to express and engage with movement. They are inspired by the elements: water, wind, fire, flora and fauna.
The artwork is also visual art and will reflect the life of the residents and community to bring them to a vibrant open space by challenging them to communicate through their diversity to ensure and open new motivations, and support cultural heritage to enhance and facilitate common senses.
