The Arthouse at Stradbally will create a large and colourful mural which will be positioned at the gable of the old courthouse. This grey and historic building has been redeveloped to house the town library and adjoining arthouse but the history of the building is dark. The old stone cut building  was the former courthouse in Victorian times and no doubt witnessed many harsh punishments and harrowing scenes. This mural though which will be above the old courthouse cells will release a freedom of colour and life to the old building, helping to create joy where once there was confinement and darkness.
