This year’s St Patrick’s Day parade entitled The Cúpla Focal Parade will be a celebration of the Irish language. The parade will showcase the words and phrases that are used by many of us today. Throughout the parade Irish phrases will feature on large colourful signage in shapes of speech bubbles. Phrases like Sláinte, Céad Míle Fáilte, Ciarraí Abú, An bhfuil cead agam? are a reminder to all of how the Irish language still resonates with us.
