Small Wonders by Púca Puppets

Púca Puppets specialises in puppet theatre for both adults and children, in English and Irish. Drawing from theatre and visual art disciplines and informed by research or community art practice, the work is usually devised collaboratively. The company is committed to a sharing of skills and ideas through regular workshop practice in puppet making, performance and storytelling of various kinds.

Small Wonders by Púca Puppets is a multisensory interactive performance experience for babies and toddlers and those who care for them. Two performers, George and Niamh use music and puppets to welcome the children to our world of nature, growth, and environment. Playfully together, the production will celebrate their birth in the context of the natural world’s benefits for health and wellbeing.

Recognising the key role of families in developing children’s early language and literacy learning, Small Wonders is aimed at those from 0-4 and their parents/carers. One of the overall aims of Creative Ireland Programme is nurturing the creativity of children from birth, at home and in the community. This production by Púca Puppets enables the participants to enjoy a positive cultural experience from a very young age.
