The collective Silent Sea with artists Chelsea Canavan & Deirdre Power are working in partnership with the Limerick Narwhals and local communities of interest to explore the co-creation of a project that visually communicates the ecological data collected upon the river Shannon. Signals from a River aims to uniquely co-create flags where the relations between various citizens' science practice and place convey a story to the broader public.

Key to the creation of the flags is a socially engaged practice and co-creation of the designs with community members. These flags can then be used in site-specific installations, interventions, performances and further collaborations with other creative institutions and communities in Limerick.
