Supported under Open Call Strand 1: Community/Creative Collaboration, Roscommon International Film Festival is A Collaborative and Immersive Film Community Project. RIFF 2025 will be a dynamic three-day festival (two evenings of screenings and a day of workshops) from 9 - 11 October 2025 that celebrates storytelling through film while fostering meaningful connections between filmmakers, industry professionals, and audiences. Building on the success of RIFF 2024, which welcomed 180 attendees and showcased 21 films from Ireland and beyond, we aim to deepen engagement through new interactive, participatory elements in addition to the film screenings.

This will include: 

- Screen Dating: A speed-networking event where emerging and established filmmakers, writers, and producers meet to explore potential collaborations. 

- Industry Workshops: Led by experts like Addie Orfila (Netflix, BBC, ITV), workshops will focus on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in Film, empowering creatives with practical insights on accessibility and representation. 

- Filmmaker Q&As and Panel Discussions: Audiences will engage with directors and actors after screenings, creating an interactive space where stories and artistic processes are discussed. 

- Showcasing Local Talent: Special screenings will highlight films from Roscommon and the West of Ireland, ensuring local voices are amplified alongside international artists.
