PURPLE-XR is a creative industries training programme aimed at fostering innovation through new collaborative relationships.​ The programme seeks to expand XR development and create pathways into commercialising new immersive technologies.

Aimed at professionals working in digital visual communications, graphic design, illustration, animation, multimedia, commercial AV content creation or gaming, a series of open-access webinars and in-person labs in Summer 2023 will demonstrate how XR technologies (Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality) can be applied in creative business processes. 

PURPLE XR combines a process-driven training initiative with a forum for project development that facilitates the blending and sharing of skills and resources. It will provide creative space for inclusive and atypical partnerships to cross-fertilise and grow, and for innovation to flourish.
