Project eARTh -The Hive-Bloomz and Bees
The Organic Centre Rossinver is working with artist Sarah Lundy to develop our environmental arts programme Project eARTh focusing on biodiversity, sustainability, organic growing and climate change. Project eARTh is about increasing access to the arts, developing skills, building confidence and contributing towards the built and natural environment with works of art. It recognises and utilises the relationship between art and nature and will engage people to highlight this relationship.
This year, which celebrates the Organic Centre’s 25th anniversary, we want to create a permanent HIVE structure, made from recycled and natural materials. We are working with Sarah Lundy hosting online workshops with children, young people and families. Installations will be created at the organic centre itself, in our gardens once this becomes manageable.
Bloomz and Beez, online wildflower workshops have been taking place to get the projects' participants involved from the comfort of their own homes, proving a great way to learn about what is growing in your local hedgerow and how important these plants are.
