Éamon de Valera and Ann de Valera, grandchildren of President Éamon de Valera, presented the 1947 Dodge car to Clare County Council in 1988 on behalf of their aunt Máirín.  

The car resided in a custom-built garage beside DeValera Library in Ennis until earlier this year when it was moved to Clare Museum.  An event will take place on Sunday, 6 November, marking the car's arrival. Historian Dr Joe Power will give a talk on DeValera and the Banner County.  Éamon de Valera will also speak about his memories of the car and its trips to County Clare. 

The car will be free to all to view in its new permanent home.
