From June to October 2025, the Poet-in-the-Community will collaborate with Cork City Council Libraries to engage diverse communities. This residency will involve partnering with various organizations, such as the Sexual Violence Centre, to foster community connections through poetry.

The poet will mentor an emerging poet from Cork City, guiding them in community engagement and helping them develop their own work. The residency will feature in-person workshops, open-mic sessions, and the publication of a blog/pamphlet showcasing the work of the groups, the poet-in-residence, and the mentored poet.

An international workshop on "Poetry and Best Practice when Working with Diverse Communities" will be offered online, open to poets, library and museum practitioners, and the public. The residency will culminate in a celebration during Black History Month in October, featuring a public workshop, open-mic session, and the launch of a new poetry collection.
