Playful Things - Let’s Play Rush Halloween Short Story Competition 2022
Playful Things is the first annual Rush Halloween Short Story Competition run by Let’s Play Rush in conjunction with Fingal Libraries. Let's Play Rush came about because of the EU URBACT project called the “Playful Paradigm” . Rush is participating in the Irish Network along with Cork, Donegal Town, Rathdrum in Wicklow, Sligo Town and Portlaoise to learn best practice on developing play and place-making actions. The theme for the Short Story Competition “Playful Things” also makes reference to both the television show “Stranger Things” and the Stephen King 1991 novel “Needful Things”. Anyone can enter the competition any short story entered must be set in the town of Rush or incorporate in a meaningful way a Rush landmark.
