Panoramic Sculpture
Community-led collaborative project, under the direction of locally-based ceramicist, Ian Carty that seeks to transform a village centre gable wall by creating a visually attractive sculptural piece highlighting the uniqueness of North Sligo’s natural and built heritage offering. The creative result will enhance the experience of residents, visitors, and passers by travelling the N15, as well as those involved with its creation.
Local schoolchildren from Rathcormac Primary School will add their elements, i.e. handprints, etc., and the area to the front of the sculpture will be levelled up and landscaped. The provision of additional funding will allow for the participation of local school children to engage with local artists Ian Carty as he creates detailed ceramic sculptural elements included in the original ‘mixed-media’ design.
