The exhibition of Transcendent Documents will feature five Irish photographers working with images using a sense of place to evoke a particular state of mind.

With the Creative Sligo funding, Cairde would invite photographers who have made photographic bodies of work in the North-West and West, including Eamonn Doyle (Connemara), Jill Quigley (Donegal), Martin McGagh (Donegal), Tommy Weir (Sligo/Leitrim), Grace Weir (Leitrim), Yvette Monahan (Sligo) Ciaran Og Arnold (Sligo), and Linda Brownlee (Mayo).

The exhibition will bring Photography to Sligo using the town as a venue.

Transcendent Documents will invite the viewer to consider place as a subjective experience that is visually engaging through the lens of Ireland’s thought-provoking photographers. Transcendent Documents will bring photography to the streets of Sligo in a novel, exciting and engaging exhibition. There will be curator's guided tours and photography workshops to deepen engagement with a wide variety of Sligo publics.
