Film makers Bailey and Blake are documenting archaeological and conservation work at the Number One Gun Battery, Athlone.

The Number one Gun Battery is the last surviving example of the eight gun batteries that were constructed to defend Athlone from the threat of Napoleonic invasion in the L18th/E19th Century.

A local community Group are working with a conservation team to study and conserve the Number One Gun Battery and this video focuses on the work being done on site in 2023.
