Butler Gallery invites you to join us for National Drawing Day on Saturday 20 May 2024!

National Drawing Day is a national celebration of all things mark-making, with workshops and events happening across Ireland. At Butler Gallery, this is a free drop-in family friendly event with activities for all ages and artistic abilities.

Enjoy experimenting with various art techniques to create your own fun art works on the day, guided by our talented artists and facilitators.

This year our theme for National Drawing Day is Drawing From Nature and we will be hosting a variety of activities in our galleries, Learning Centre and gardens for all ages.

Activities on the day will include Drawing from Nature in our collection galleries, Bird Paper Making in the Learning Centre, Plein Air Painting in the gardens, Early years sensory play and making to a large collaborative chalk pavement drawing on our front plaza.

We look forward to welcoming you, and creating art together!
