The short documentary film My Cure and Me, supported by Creative Ireland in 2022, has been selected to screen at DOC NYC - the biggest documentary film festival in America. The festival has invited producer and director Alan Bradley to take part in a panel discussion about the film post screening. 

This highly prestigious film festival receives thousands of submissions from over 90 countries with only approximately 300 selected each year.  The screening of My Cure and Me will sit in a selection labelled 'Caretakers - A selection of tender-hearted films about taking care of memories, heirlooms, and family members. The four other films in the section come from Mexico, Norway, UK/Ethiopia and the USA.

 Local Virginia filmmaker Alan, explores the uniquely Irish tradition of ‘the cure’, and features locals from Cavan and Monaghan talking about their experiences.

Creative Cavan will celebrate this selection with a local screening at Cavan County Museum showcasing this unique and successful Creative Ireland funded project.
