A free weekend of open-air music workshops and interactive performances at Murroe town skate park and all-weather facility at Murroe Town Park. These are outdoor, fenced amenities, which will allow us to ensure that C19 public health measures are properly monitored and adhered to.

The music events will be run by Mícheál (Moley) Ó Súilleabháin, Rev. Nóirín Ní Riain, and drummer Urs Wenk. We are hoping to hold our local traditional music and song session over this weekend also. 

The events include:

Saturday 7th August

• Murroe Beatbox & Vocal Percussion Workshops (3 sessions)

Hosted by Moley Ó Súilleabháin at our community skate park.

• Call and Answer Songs and Poems (1 session)

This will be hosted by Moley Ó Súilleabháin at our all-weather facility. Attendees will learn jazz songs, poems, and well-known Irish traditional songs in call and answer format. This session is open to all ages.

Sunday 8th August

• Murroe Scratch Choir

This will be hosted by Moley Ó Súilleabháin and Nóirín Ní Riain. They will create a choir from scratch, working on 2-3 songs per session to create beautiful harmonies and singing experiences with no rehearsal!!

• Drum Circle and Interactive Drumming Show

Hosted by Urs Wenk and open to all ages. Max 50 participants.
