Creative Ireland funding will be allocated to increase the funding available under the existing Meath County Council Community Heritage Grant Scheme. The aim of the scheme is to support community groups and organisations to undertake projects that will gather information, help to appropriately manage and promote an awareness and appreciation of our heritage.  

Projects which are eligible relate to all aspects of our heritage including: monuments, archaeological objects, heritage objects, architectural heritage, flora, fauna, wildlife habitats, landscapes, genealogy, local history, geology, heritage gardens and parks.

Projects relating to local history and traditions, placenames, folklore, traditional crafts and skills and museums and archives will also be considered under the scheme.
