Funding artists, arts activities and development is a key strategic objective of the Meath County Arts Development Plan 2019 – 2024.

To help maximise the potential for arts provision in the county, Meath County Council Arts Office operates a range of annual bursary and award schemes. Meath County Council's existing Community Arts Awards and Professional Arts Development Awards are strengthened by Creative Ireland funding. These schemes provide funding opportunities for creative organisations, arts practitioners and groups working within the arts in the county. Through these schemes and, with the support of Creative Ireland the Arts Office aims to support a diverse range of arts activities and practice throughout county Meath.
