Lough Boora Sculpture Park
Offaly County Council working with Bord na Mona engaged a sculpture advisor Michael Burke to work with both organisations to draw up a works programme to improve the safety and landscape setting of the Sculpture in the Parklands range of sculptures.
This is a large scale sculpture park in Lough Boora Parklands which was originally curated by Kevin O’Dwyer in the early 2000s. It is free to visit and has approximately 100,000 visitors each year who walk the sculpture trails. The foundation for this work was set out in a study by Terre Duffy in a report called ‘Art in the Landscape Report’ dating to 2020. https://www.offaly.ie/app/uploads/Council/Council_Services_A-Z/Arts_Culture/Documents/Arts-in-the-Landscape-Report.pdf Image is titled 60 degrees by sculptor, Kevin O'Dwyer
