Life between Land and Sea

Life between Land and Sea is a short movie that explores one of Ireland’s most mysterious, beautiful and challenging habitats.

Taking the viewer on a journey across the tidal zones, coastal plants, animals and eco-system services will all be explored in an engaging and accessible way.

The film will start with a look at different tidal habitats, discussing some of the animals that use these areas and the challenges that the environmental factors such as wind, rain and tide have on this unique set of habitats.

Sand dunes and the plants that make them possible will be featured. This will be followed by an examination of the rocky shore.

The rocky shore element will highlight the 4 main zones, from splash zone to lower intertidal zone. Plant and animal diversity, the challenges they face and the services that they deliver for us will all be explored.
