International Song Group
The International Song Group encourages women to come together in a safe environment to collectively embark on a journey that encourages the members to develop their singing skills, exchange songs from their individual traditions and develop cultural links between the various communities that make up Irish society.
Artistic and technical facilitation is led by singer-songwriter Farah Elle and singing instructor and recording artist Caroline Moreau.
The programme of weekly workshops will include participants taking part in the Complaint Choir project, an international community art project started by artists Tellervo Kalleinen and Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen. This part of the project will include the group devising their own material and creating a filmed performance.
Performance workshops will also be held to targeted communities to increase the profile of the group and to attract new members.
Weekly workshops will take place in the Little Duke Theatre on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm - 9pm. No experience is necessary and all are welcome.
