Inclusive Creativity with Prosper Fingal
In 2022, Malahide Library welcomed members of Prosper Fingal to the library to take part in an Inclusive Creativity project funded by Creative Ireland. Prosper Fingal supports adults with an intellectual disability. The workshops gave participants an opportunity to express their creativity and interact with others in a supportive and friendly environment.
This year, Malahide Library will continue the Inclusive Creativity partnership with Prosper Fingal and the project will branch out to two new locations, Rush Library and Skerries Libraries. A series of creative workshops will take place in all three libraries for Prosper members. Three one-off workshops will take place in Malahide Library including flipbook animation with Create School, Soap-making with Aoife Munn and an art workshop with John Carpenter. There will be a 4-week creative computing course with Sabine McKenna in Rush Library. Orlaith O'Sullivan will facilitate 5 mindfulness classes, one in Skerries Library and 4 in Rush Library. Aoife Munn will facilitate 5 gardening classes, one in Skerries Library and 4 in Rush Library.
