We are excited to introduce Helium Arts' Creative Health Hub in dlr this Autumn! In partnership with dlr Creative Communities and CYPSC dlr, Helium Arts will be offering free creative workshops for children and young people with lifelong physical health conditions living in the county! 

Children living with lifelong health conditions can often feel isolated, they may be unable to participate in regular activities. This isolation can take a toll. Furthermore, it is well-documented that having a medical illness doubles the risk of developing mental health problems.

Helium Arts’ workshops provide a wonderful opportunity for children with conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy, heart conditions, spina bifida, juvenile arthritis, rare conditions and more to build confidence, make friends, and learn new skills.

All workshops are facilitated by professional artists, supported by friendly volunteers and on-site medical staff.

Activities include drawing, painting, puppetry, story-telling, sculpture, clay-modelling, film-making and more!

The Helium Arts programme in dlr will feature the following workshops suitable for ages 8-12:

• Autumn Camp: 30 Oct - 1 Nov (Mounttown Community Centre, Monkstown)
• 10 Winter Saturdays: 12 Oct - 14 Dec (Ballybrack Community Development Project)
