Helium Arts empowers children with lifelong health conditions through creativity and the arts, giving them an opportunity for connection, belonging, imagination and joy. Through this initiative, Helium will run a Community Autumn Art Initiative in the Balseskin Reception Centre, providing an intensive programme to children aged 8-12 living with lifelong physical health conditions. Helium will run 6 art workshops over 3 days during the Autumn midterm with approximately 8-10 children participating in each camp. 

At Helium Arts, professional artists and volunteers are fully trained and have extensive experience working with children with health conditions. During activities they guide children to express and explore their own creativity through a range of activities. The activities are developed carefully by taking the needs & interests of the children into account.
