Hawk’s Well Theatre is a cultural Lighthouse for artists in Sligo.  Its mission is simple- “Art for All” and we aim to provide  educational pathways to professional practice. This ensures local artists are given world class training in making Art. Training such as Vocal production, movement, acting technique, stage management, technical theatre such as lighting and sound engineering are a in the round training package we offer to give the emerging artist a complete picture of how the making of a piece of theatre works.

In September 2024 we are launching a community wide open call to audition for a place on this training programme. This is an ageless and genderless call out. The end of this training period culminates in the selected artists taking part in a professional production at Hawk’s Well for families during the Halloween period called “The Whacky Witch and her Magic Cauldron”. This educational pathway provides training and development which we would like Creative Ireland to support. The process would then culminate in a professional credit the artist can use as a passport for further success in the industry.
