Hairline Crack
Artist Niamh McCann will research the notion of border through a panopticon structure. She will build upon and extend a body of work looking at border and shared histories by drawing upon a personal relationship to the existence of an edge between north and south on this island. By incorporating ideas held within the panopticon, to shared cultural artefacts this work asks: how do we bear witness to difficult histories? How can we excavate, remake and reimagine the past? Funding here is for research to be undertaken with fellow structure collaborator Peter Carroll A2 Architects and pre fabrication templates.
