The creation of a new community arts festival presents an exciting opportunity for East Galway, driving community-led cultural cultural and arts development for people living and working in the east side of the city.

Eastside Arts Festival focuses on inclusive and community-led artistic expression, extending beyond traditional galleries and commissioned works by established artists. This approach aligns with Creative Ireland’s vision: that every person in Ireland has the opportunity to realise their full creative potential. Collaboration is the driving force behind these forms of creativity. 

A series of consultation workshops led by the Galway-based social enterprise Amicitia, and the involvement of key community stakeholders will ensure that the festival reflects and celebrates the vibrancy of the Eastside's cultural tapestry.
