‘Dream Baby Dream' is a daring new film by local dance artist Orla McCarthy and Ukrainian filmmaker Anna Bogomolova. The solo, performed and choreographed by McCarthy fuses dance-theatre, cinematography and original sound design. The film advocates that self-expression and movement are essential for wellbeing, and explores this idea through an investigation of McCarthy’s personal history. McCarthy will offer a workshop sharing her practice with the local community in Edgeworthstown Library (community space), and will invite members of the community to feature in the film as audience. McCarthy will present the film and host a discussion in Longford Library.  The finished film, ca. 20 min long, will be submitted to film festivals in Ireland and abroad.
