dlr Libraries are delighted to announce a monthly Storytelling Circle for adults.

The aim is to gather together people who are interested in listening to and sharing stories. 
The group will meet in dlr LexIcon, Dún Laoghaire on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from February until November 2023, with each session chaired by a special invited guest storyteller.

For our very first dlr Yarnspinners event on Wednesday 15th February, we welcome actor, storyteller, author and broadcaster, Nuala Hayes, who will open the session by sharing some tales and will then open it up to the floor. Over the years, Nuala has been a frequent contributor to Sunday Miscellany, the popular RTÉ radio programme. She has also made radio documentaries on storytelling in the Midlands and on the growth of Yarnspinning in Northern Ireland.

Other guest storytellers scheduled to appear are Máirín Mhic Lochlainn (Wed 15 March) and Helen Hutchinson (Wed 19 April).
