Visual artist Jane Groves is excited to be working alongside children in the My Project and Springboard Family Support Services to discover more about their local area, together with marine biologist Mona McCrea, local fisherman Tim Story and others. Jane will investigate the foreshore though, conversation, foraging, gathering, and experimenting in print and clay. Culminating in an inspired art piece and workshops on the beach for the Cruinniú na nÓg 2025. 

Jane creates immersive spaces and site-specific installations, she has worked with children and their families for over 20 years, with a deep interest in art and ecology she likes to connect people, place and landscapes. Jane has a passion for igniting children’s interest in nature through the lens of the visual arts. Through process she fosters rhizomatic learning and a joy of discovery together with young artist collaborators.
