Cruitirí ar Chnoic | Harpers on Hills: A cross-border gathering of around 60 harpers of all ages from Inishowen, Derry, Antrim and Louth will be recording  at An Grianán of Aileach on Thursday 3 August between 11.00am and 3.00pm, and will later feature in a concert with Triona Marshall and Martin Tourish at 8.00pm in St Pius X Church, Moville. 

These performances mark the rich heritage and connections between our Irish harping tradition and this prehistoric, iconic landmark. With support from Donegal County Council, Creative Ireland and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, the event features a commission from renowned Donegal harper Joleen McLaughlin for more than fifty young harpers.

Join us at 8pm on Thursday 3rd August in St Pius X Church, Moville for Cruinniú na gCruitirí | Harpers’ Gathering, featuring this special commission, special guest performances from acclaimed harper with The Chieftains, Triona Marshall and Donegal accordionist, composer and producer, Martin Tourish, as well as:

• Elver Harp Ensemble
• Music Generation Louth Harp Ensemble
