This project will take the form of a re-enactment of a funeral with all the funeral traditions associated with the site of Cranavane Holy Well, a coffin shaped well steeped in local folklore.
The project will also recreate a hedge school setting believed to be associated with the site Other events will include demonstrations of Traditional Construction Skills associated with the area. Teas and Coffees served to create a welcoming environment to those who attend these events.  Three organisations are collaborating on this project which provides a template for continuing collaboration between arts and cultural groups. It showcases one of the best tourist amenities in the area and will grow interest in maintaining the natural beauty of the area and preserving its culture and heritage and attracting visitors.
