Cork Multicultural Day
Cork Multicultural Day is an annual showcase of the huge variety of cultures present in Cork City. Different traditions are expressed through a rich display of music and dance over the course of the event held in Cork City Hall. Costume design and production, dance routines, melodies and recipes are exchanged throughout the lead up to the event, with approximately 50-100 young people of dual or mixed identity heritage learning directly from the elders in their respective communities.
This vibrant, lively and engaging event is open to all, with ethnic food tasting, traditional dress, stories and song the order of the day in the company of Lord Mayor, Cllr Dan Boyle and invited dignitaries.
