Connecting Communities, along the Brosna
Inspired and connected by the River Brosna, the communities of Clara, Ballycumber, Pollagh, Ferbane and Rahan come together along the banks of the river to share their music, poetry & stories, in the magnificent surrounds of the tree lined auditorium in Clara House Demesne watching the river flow past as well as Ballycumber village for Folly Tales and Treasure Trails.
Clara Heritage Society are engaging with midlands poet, Dr. Arthur Broomfield to facilitate poetry workshops in the locality. Furthermore, Clara Heritage Society have engaged with Clara library to facilitate children's art classes where children are invited to paint, sketch, draw imagined scenes depicting the River Brosna.
Ballycumber Tidy Towns are engaging with Tara Mulvihill, art therapist conducting community based art workshops in Pollagh, Boher and St. Hilda's, Ferbane in order to design a shared flag celebrating the River Brosna communities.
