Learning Hub Limerick will renovate the entrance to two music rooms used for rehearsals, workshops and lessons. We will commission Lulu Keeley to work with our students to create a unique mural to let all visitors to our music hub know they are entering a special and creative place.

Our main objective is to create an inspiring and inviting music centre for local musicians of all ages and levels of experience. While a community ethos is central to everything we do we also aim to provide the highest possible level of service and this project is all about designating the Music Hub, as part of the Learning Hub, as a special place, where a bit of magic can happen, where projects can be prepared and practiced and learning can be shared in an ideal setting. 

We are hoping to make a significant improvement to the music hub area but also to do so with contributions from our students. This will empower them to feel that they are more a part of the hub family, giving them something to look back on in future years and also motivate them to keep coming in for lessons, keep practicing their instruments and to continue to develop as musicians for many years to come. 

Students from the Learning Hub will be invited to contribute to the design of an original mural by Louise Keeley. They will also be empowered to contribute to the painting of the mural. We are planning to meet with 3 separate class groups and to get contributions from every music student at the Hub, of which there are over 60.
