As a recipient of the Solstice Arts Centre Diversity Award, Subhashini will host a series of workshops and events to encourage participation and connection of Bharatanatyam and other dance forms with both children and adults in the community. The project will span 2024 and 2025. 

The first of these workshops are detailed below:

Classical Indian Dance Workshop with Subhashini Goda
DANCE Sat 12 Oct | 11am - 2pm | Free, booking essential | Adults
This workshop is aimed at introducing participants to the basics of the Indian Classical dance of Bharatanatyam. You will be introduced to some aspects of the dance form, as well as postures, rhythm, gestures, and expression. The workshop aims to build space for alternative ways of thinking about dance and strengthening community. No prior dance experience necessary.
