These interactive workshops will introduce children aged 8-14 to the world of creative technology using a variety of formats.

Children build 4-5 robots with Lego, connect them to the computer via Bluetooth and code them to carry out various tasks using lights, sounds, sensors, and motors. They will program a microbit device to animate, send text messages, play sounds, and sense movement. We also design our own 2D character and world using pixel art, learning the basics of block coding by using blocks to move a character around the maze to collect coins and earn a score each time. This game they create is published and they can access it at home to show parents and friends. A fun and educational day for kids in Clare in their local library!
