Čiūto tūto
"Čiūto tūto" aims to celebrate Lithuanian traditional year events.
This project is welcoming all ages of the Lithuanian community in Westmeath and inviting other communities in Athlone to get involved to explore connections between Lithuanian and Irish traditions.
Community art projects can infuse traditional community celebrations with vibrant creativity, fostering a deeper sense of connection and identity among participants. These projects often serve as visual representations of shared values, cultural heritage, and collective experiences, enhancing the overall festive atmosphere.
Community art projects during traditional celebrations serve as powerful vehicles for cultural expression, fostering a sense of belonging and solidarity among participants.
Traditional festive days are an important part of Lithuanian culture, particularly for the large community from Lithuania in Mullingar, as they help to bring people together and keep our identity.
The Local community is very welcome to be involved as we would like to hear the traditions of Irish people that might be connected. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more information.
Please note that the details of events listed above are provided by the relevant Local Authorities.
